Codego are a four piece Indie/rock outfit from Halifax / Leeds, formed in May 2005 and born out of the ashes of previous band ‘Riser’, Codego armed with their  unique brand of stirring guitars, powerful drums n bass and soaring vocals plan to take the local scene and beyond by storm.

Previous band mates, Matt n Jim decided to re-form a new band and after 18 months of experimenting with various guitarists and singers and trying to create their own sound  guitarist Oli joined the band then singer Lee Bray completed the line-up.

With this new line-up a creative explosion happened and the songs started to come thick n fast and after 8 months of constant rehearsing Codego had a set of songs written as a collective that were ready to be played to a live audience.

The band were extremely well received at their live shows and having extensively gigged around Halifax and the vibrant Leeds scene, Codego secured a place in the European Battle of the Bands Finals at the Trimisfestival (www.trimisfestival.com) in Bologna, Italy after being selected as one of two bands out of hundreds of UK unsigned bands that entered the competition.

This was a great opportunity and an amazing experience for the band and one they are hoping is the start of things to come.
